Funny what you can find when you're searching on Google. Found this when I was doing some searches for Lynch Tiger.
Yes indeed his dad gave him the tools to succeed, for he became the best and passed golf's toughest tests. The Masters, US Open, British, and PGA, to Tiger they all gave way. His friends and family and all his peers watched and listened to nothing but cheers. Money and fame he's had it all, thanks to his clubs and a little white ball.

'Stringing up Al Sharpton'
I was reading over some old articles the other day and it prompted me to write this little rant about how unfortunate it is that our society has become so politically correct. The example being used is Kelly Tilghman's 2008 comment she made while on air about how today's young players should "lynch him in a back alley". The comment was in response to Nick Faldo's "to take Tiger on, maybe they should just gang up for awhile", referring to Tiger Woods' dominance in the game at that time.
I guess I just don't get it, why is it we can be hanging out with our buds and say just about anything we want and everyone knows that it's just fun conversation(ie: your sister is a dike, his brother is a homo, I'm tighter than a Jew, etc), nobody takes it serious and no one's feelings are hurt. But the minute someone says something a little off color while the cameras are rolling it's taboo ? Boo hoo, this is very serious, you just hurt someone's feelings. Maybe we're just smarter than everyone else and know when it's in fun and when it isn't.
And I really think idiots(I know they may not be idiots) like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and others make it worse by getting on their soapboxes and crying foul. The black man has been wronged once again ! For him to think Tilghman should have been fired shows his ignorance.
For the record, I actually thought her comment was rather funny, like if a buddy of ours was always kicking our butts in some game we played(Steve, you know who you are-lol)and one of us says hey, let's gang up on him, take him out back and string 'em up ?! Are we really going to do that ? Uhhh, no. We just know he's better than us and it's our way of having fun with it. Do you honestly think that if Al Sharpton were hangin'(ha, no pun intended) with his buds and they said the same thing, hey, let's gang up on Al boy and string 'em up in a back alley, that he would be offended !? I doubt it. I think he would know if it was in fun or if it wasn't.
Tiger was smart enough to figure that out and I think the Golf Channel was too..
